Feargus Hetherington/ Geoffrey Tanti
... With a heated intensity which was spirited and wild yet graceful and dignified, this hugely accomplished duo complemented each other marvellously as together they illustrated the light and shade and huge range of emotion in both these works. [Brahms: Viola Sonatas – Feargus Hetherington/Benjamin Powell]
... The next item were the Three Pictures from Chassidic Life – Baal Shem by Ernest Bloch. Hetherington rose magnificently to the considerable technical challenges of these pieces, and in the central improvisatory Nigun he conjured a strong and persuasive tone from his fine modern violin. Both musicians [Gorelik/Hetherington] contributed to a powerful reading of these evocative and intense pieces.
