We think that everybody should have the opportunity to experience chamber music.
Our Learning Programme offers community events, workshops, interactive performances, collaborations, and more. Take a look at some of our recent Learning events, below.
ASN Schools
We have been working in partnership with Lochies ASN Primary School in Alloa since 2018, where different chamber music ensembles lead music sessions for pupils with a wide range of additional support needs over a ten-week period.
Masterclasses
Touring chamber music ensembles are often invited to give masterclasses or coaching sessions to musicians of all ages across Scotland.
The Flood
Learning events can be linked to other Chamber Music Scotland projects. Here, the Brodick Quartet and Esther Swift worked with pupils on composition and the environment in Peebles as part of our co-commisison with Music in Peebles, The Flood.
Care Homes
Our Learning programme also involves performances for people living in care and residential homes across Scotland.
Transplanted
TRANSPLANTED uses composition to explore the connection between music and Scottish plant life.
Thank you for a wonerful day! I can honestly say it was one of my favourite days in education – the pupils had a fantastic time and learned so much from the experience!
