Numerous composers have since written for this most lyrical instrumentation exploiting its melodic timbres. This versatile ensemble has a wealth of trios to offer as well as being able to perform duo repertoire and solos on request.

Biography
The Korça Ensemble comprises of clarinet, violin and piano, an unusual chamber ensemble combination which came to prominence in the early 20th Century. The ensemble was created in 2015 but, the three players have worked together on numerous musical collaborations over the years.
Named after a small Albanian town on the border with Greece, the ensemble has performed throughout Scotland with their most recent tour taking them to venues from Caithness to Dumfries & Galloway.
Christopher Baxter studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating with BMus 1st Class Honours and MMus Distinction. He is in constant demand as a pianist; recent performances include recitals in prestigious venues across the UK and Europe, Faroe Islands, South Korea and Singapore, and has many long-standing chamber music partnerships. As an advocate of contemporary music has given the premières of more than 30 works. Christopher was an RCS Accompaniment Fellow 2009/10, and is a Live Music Now artist. Christopher is the resident Concert Pianist at Loretto School in Scotland, and an examiner for the ABRSM.
Jenny Stephenson is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Regional de Marseille. Since her return to Scotland, Jenny has performed with orchestras throughout the UK including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Ballet, Scottish Opera and the Ulster Orchestra. A passionate chamber musician, in addition to the Korça Ensemble, Jenny performs regularly with Arunda, Cameo Clarinet Quartet, Scottish Wind Ensemble as well as with contemporary groups Ensemble Thing and the Glasgow New Music Expedition.
Gent Koço was born in Tirana, Albania in 1981. He began playing the violin aged 7 and in 1991, moved to England where he continued his studies. He has performed a number of major solo concertos and sonatas in both his native Albania and throughout the UK. Gent has been a member of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra since 2007.
