Pomegranate Piano Trio
The Pomegranate Trio's performance of my Trio was splendid. A truly 'felt' interpretation which seemed to live inside the legendary world of the piece. And what a thrill to be coupled with the 'Ghost' trio which was played magnificently. Beethoven's extraordinary range, the physical energy and strange mysteries, were all un-nervingly captured.
music brought to life with such stunning virtuosity.

Biography
Since giving its debut concert at the Bishopsgate Institute for the City of London Festival in 2014 the Pomegranate Piano Trio, formed of Fenella Barton (violin), Rebecca Hepplewhite (cello) and Andrew West (piano), has quickly established a reputation for fine performances. The trio now pursues a busy concert diary playing imaginative and engaging programmes throughout England, Scotland and Wales. As highly successful musicians in their own right, the highlights of their combined solo and chamber concerts have been at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wiener Musikverein, La Salle Cortot, Paris The Lincoln Center, New York, and Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
The Pomegranate Piano Trio's recent highlights include extensive tours throughout Scotland, world premieres of several newly commissioned works and appearances at St George's Bristol, Shakespeare Cheltenham Pump Room, Glasgow University and St David's Hall Cardiff. Alongside the much-loved classical piano trio repertoire, the trio's recent programmes have also included music by Smetana, Clara Schumann, Brahms, Schoenberg, Sally Beamish, Judith Weir, Russell Hepplewhite, Nicholas Maw and Judith Weir. The trio's interest in outreach and music in the community has resulted in a number of children's concerts, side-by-side projects, masterclasses, composition workshops and collaborations with schools.
