Biography

The Roth Guitar Duo, formed in 2014 at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, has become a standout name in the UK classical guitar scene. Praised by Craig Ogden as "two of the UK's brightest young stars of the guitar," the duo has consistently captivated audiences across the UK. Their performance history spans renowned venues like St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Buxton Pavilion Arts Centre, and Cardiff Guitar Festival, among others.

They have also been invited multiple times to perform at Manchester's prestigious Bridgewater Hall, participating in concert series such as A Little Bite Music, Dig the City Festival, and Craig Ogden's Big Guitar Weekend. Their commitment to creating diverse and engaging programs has resonated with audiences, covering everything from Renaissance pieces to new and unpublished works.

The duo's debut album Canonica has received high praise and showcases a collection of pieces from their repertoire, including music featured in their live performances. Their growing popularity has led to commissions from celebrated composers like Yvonne Bloor and Mark Houghton, cementing their place as innovative and forward-thinking musicians within the classical guitar world.
