Biography
The Sòlás Collective is an emerging ensemble that explores the Gaelic traditions of Scotland and Ireland in a contemporary light. Consisting of Sarah Hanniffy on the viola and Fionnlagh Mac A’Phiocair on the Scottish Smallpipes, the Collective creates innovative soundscapes that transport and fulfill audiences. Rooted in tradition, the Sòlás Collective pushes the boundaries of their instruments and listeners, while also paying homage to their respective Irish and Scottish heritages.
